“Simplified: Bridging the Gap” Documentary Private Screening

Yellopain

OVERVIEW

On October 27, 2022, at Modex Studio in Atlanta, Georgia, the Black Music Action Coalition, Catherine Brewton, and Corey Jacobs hosted a screening of "Simplified: Bridging the Gap." Directed by YelloPain, this documentary endeavors to elevate minority and youth involvement in elections by simplifying complex civic issues. It provides educators with a tool to teach civic topics in an unbiased manner, distributing power evenly across all levels of government for broader understanding. "Simplified" represents a reimagining of government education, igniting political awareness and initiating sustained electoral engagement.

During Grammy Week on February 4, 2023, the Black Music Action Coalition organized another screening at The London West Hollywood. This gathering united entertainment executives, artists, activists, and cultural leaders, fostering discussions to inspire advocacy and advance minority and youth participation in future elections.
