OVERVIEW

HBCU on the Green and Mastercard partnered to bring the first “finlit” movement focused on financial equity, literacy and inclusion to students at HBCUs. This HBCU Block Party featured roundtable discussions with some of the nation’s leading financial experts and advocates for economic empowerment.

Throughout the day, students immersed themselves in campus activations at Clark Atlanta University, featuring the 'Master Your Card' program presented by MasterCard and hosted by Ambassador Terrance J, a dynamic live performance from Moneybagg Yo sponsored by Live Nation, lively DJs and step-shows presented by students, HBCU merch curated by HBCU on the Green, a bustling free on-site black vendor marketplace, and a myriad of engaging experiences.

Over 100 companies, committed to placing diverse candidates, by participating in a campus career fair which included Microsoft, LinkedIn, private sector and government job openings. Lastly, student entrepreneurs had the chance to participate in a live pitch competition for funding to boost their businesses.
